Pratibha has been a pioneer in the sustainable Fibre-to-Fashion (farm to fashion) industry. Beginning with a spinning facility of 13,000 spindles, we have steadily expanded our operations, incorporating Knitting, Dyeing, and Garmenting units by 2003.
Guided by its purpose of spreading hope, joy, and abundance through responsible and responsive fashion, Pratibha is committed to transforming the textile industry through innovation, ethical practices, and a strong focus on environmental stewardship.

I come from Bahal, a small village in Haryana, where life was simple but values ran deep. Hard work, perseverance, and a strong sense of responsibility were part of everyday living—lessons that stayed with me as I stepped into the world of business.
My early years were spent working in our family business in Kolkata and Surat, which dealt in machinery, synthetic yarns, dyes, and chemicals. Over time, I felt a strong urge to create something more rooted in natural fibres and closer to the land. That led me to venture into the cotton textile sector.
In 1997, we set up our first spinning unit in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh- one of India’s key cotton-growing regions. What started with 13,000 spindles soon expanded to 40,000 spindles in just two years. It wasn’t easy, but it was driven by belief in purpose, in people, and in the potential to grow with integrity.

We established a vertically integrated facility that connected farming to fashion in 2003. This allowed us to build deeper relationships with farmers, ensure product consistency, and move toward more sustainable, responsible practices. It was a step not just in efficiency, but in creating shared value for everyone involved.
Beyond the business, I’ve always believed that success must reflect in the lives it touches. Through my association with the Ekal Foundation and Pratibha Foundation, we’ve supported initiatives like cataract surgeries, rural training centres, and community health and education. These efforts are close to my heart and grounded in the idea that business must serve a larger purpose.
At Pratibha Syntex, we continue to walk this path—with humility, innovation, and a deep sense of responsibility. Our journey is not just about building a company—it’s about building a better way forward for all who are part of it.

Pratibha Syntex’s journey began with a simple vision, rooted in the values of integrity, fairness, and community. Founded by my father, Shiv Kumar Chaudhary, in 1997, the company started as a small spinning unit in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh. His belief in creating long-term value and empowering people laid the foundation for what Pratibha is today—a globally recognized, vertically integrated textile company.
From the beginning, sustainability has been central to our approach. Today, we work alongside over 20,000 farmers and 6,000 associates, building a value chain grounded in ethical practices, regenerative agriculture, fair pricing, and shared progress.
