Pratibha Syntex Ltd. [“Pratibha”] a vertically integrated, sustainability oriented manufacturer of knitted textile products, today announced that Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) has bestowed it with prestigious Gold Trophy for Highest Global Exports 16-17 in the category of apparel exports above Rs 100 crores and upto Rs 500 crores and formidable Award for Environmental Sustainability during a programme held at New Delhi on Monday.
Shreyaskar Chaudhary, the Managing Director of Pratibha Syntex, received the Awards from Hon’ble Union Textile Minister Smriti Irani and Hon’ble Minister of State for Textiles Ajay Tamta.
The recognitions underline Pratibha’s unwavering commitment to deliver and unrelenting endeavours towards environmental sustainability, said Shreyaskar Chaudhary.
Pratibha earned the Gold Trophy for Highest Global Exports owing to implementation of three key initiatives like building capacities, introducing new materials and developing ritzy design capability. With implementation of key initiatives, it was strategic decision to remain competitive in pricing, asserted elated Mr Chaudhary, adding that seamless farm to fashion integration has given an edge to Pratibha.
In the wake of attaining speed, Pratibha has incorporated state-of-the-art technologies in its processes. Pratibha has established dedicated sampling line throughout the value chain to bring down the lead time. In a bid to deliver the demand for sustainable fashion, Pratibha has been introducing sustainable fibre and fabrics in its range. Sustainability is at the core of Pratibha’s strategy. Award for Environmental Sustainability underscores our efforts towards environment conservation. We have been implementing sustainability right from farm to factory. Associated with 33,000 farmers of around 450 villages, Pratibha is imparting training to farmers about organic and sustainable farming techniques, which entail less water and energy. Encouraged by Pratibha’s effort today these farmers are cultivating organic, BCI & Fairtrade cotton in their farm lands.
At factory level, Pratibha has been undertaking many initiatives to save energy and conserve water, he concluded.
The best about Pratibha is that it is a highly sustainable business firm , they solely use Dyes and chemicals which are biodegradable. They have the facility of CPB – salt free dyeing , low liquor dye technology for knits which is reduces waste water generation by 60% & energy consumption by 30%
Pratibha along with C&A, Patagonia, MEC & Prana is investing for half a million USD every year for developing Non-GMO seeds, Increasing Yield of the farmers.
